Tom Martin (Conservative) has won the election for Town Councillor in the Valley Gardens ward with 456 votes. Liberals received 400, Reform UK 105, and Greens 71.
Harrogate Spring Water, famous for the Harrogate Spa Water bottles water brand, have a long running campaign to obtain planning permission to expand their bottling plant just down the road on Halow Moor Road. I believe output is planned to double the present out put. A vociferous campaign in opposition has been launched by variuos groups in the Town. The application is scheduled to be reconsidered by the Planning Committee sometime in the Spring.
